Destinations The South

It’s time for trekking

By on 26/07/2018

Vietnam has always been one of the targeted destinations in Asia for travelers around the world.

  • You can do road trips with motorbike along the country without international driving license
  • 3G/4G is always available on the way
  • Many kinds of accommodations are ready to serve
  • Everything is relatively cheap

What most travelers do in Vietnam is travelling from south to north by motorbikes or public transportations and checking some famous places like Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hoi An ancient town, Phong Nha Caves, Ha Long Bay, Sapa… It’s cool, and even not many Vietnamese can do that.

However, if you are a nature lover and always down for outdoor activities, I would suggest you some trekking routes. In this article, I would like to introduce to you the nicest trekking place in Vietnam – Ta Nang – Phan Dung Mountain.

The full route is about 55km. You do not need any license or permission to trek here. You can go by yourself or with some friends or simple take a tour. Because you will trek in the forest, so it is dangerous if you get lost or run out of water and food. Hence, I think it is better if you go with someone who knows the place well or go on a tour (max 15-20 people).

Like me, I joined the tour to Ta Nang with a group of friends. I have no problems with being arranged and still enjoyed the trekking a lot.
